- Clean the rug everyday by simply lifting the rug and shaking it to remove the loose dirt.
- Alter the traffic pattern on the rug, rotate the rug periodically every six months.
- In vacuuming the rug, Use both the upright and canister cleaners to clean up your bamboo rug. It is advice to vacuum from various directions making several passes over an area many times to achieve the desired results.
- Spills should be treated instantly. If liquids cause the spill, then it should be blotted with a clean cloth that is undyed. To absorb the spill, just press the cloth firmly around it for maximum absorption.
- Use a spatula or spoon to remove solid materials and then wipe the affected area with a cloth that is turned frequently and kept clean. Repeat this process until the spot is not visible anymore.
- The carpet can be dried by wiping with a cloth or absorbent tissue. To dry it further, you can turn the fan or hair dryer on the stain.

Rugs from Plant Fibers Again
As the continuation of my previous post regarding rugs from plant fibers, I will enumerate again different rugs made from natural materials taken from different kinds of plants. As usual, I will list them with the origin, small summary about the rugs made from them and other information about it. So let us start now and here's the list:
- Jute Rugs - this kind of rugs was made of a plant called jute, with a scientific name of Corchorus olitorius for tossa jute fibre and Corchorus capsularis for white jute fibre). The rugs made on this plant fiber can be characterized as a durable rug. It is known in using for fabricating sturdy and heavy-duty yarns and fabrics. The largest producer of Jute in the world is India, seconded by Bangladesh.
- Bamboo Rugs - this is made of course by bamboo. As other rugs that uses wood materials, it possesses the water resistance but the vulnerability of being scratched by hard materials. However, due to its smooth texture and resistance to water, bamboo rugs are the easiest type of rugs to clean and maintain.
