Tips on Keeping your Rugs Clean

  • Keep your rugs clean via cleaning it with vacuum often. Vacuuming it in weekly basis on both sides is recommended. If it is not possible, it should be done at least once every two weeks.
  • It is recommended that you turn or rotate the rug at least once a year. Turning the rug end for end or 180 degrees helps the rug to wear more evenly.
  • Remember that rugs should be rolled not folded.
  • Anyone who owns a carpet knows that it gets dirty. For a really thorough clean that gets rid of stains, spills and mud, you'll need a good steam cleaning rug carpet cleaners. There are professional companies that offer this service, and they are able to come into your home and do a very complete job of steaming your carpet clean.
  • Another way that you can clean your carpet is by purchasing a rug cleaner. This type of cleaner will do a fairly good job of cleaning your carpet superficially, but because they don't have the ability to actually steam the fibers, not all of the stains and dirt will be removed.
  • Most of the rugs are treated to be stain resistant which delays the stain setting in, giving you a chance to act. The key is to treat the stain or spill quickly before it is absorbed by the rug and dries.
